From
Loosing Our Vision to Clarity
Vickie Kissel
So many
changes are happening rapidly for many and it is easy to
"lose our vision". Why are we here on earth at this
particular time? What is our mission? What are we here to
accomplish? What do we wish to experience?
Perhaps
somewhere along your journey you have been able to answer
these questions and thought you had it all figured out. I
know I did! Not once but SEVERAL times! Though our main
vision of who and what we are never changes, what does
change is our state of awareness in any given moment. All is
well and as it should be.
As we
experience changes in our earth (earthquakes, tornados, and
other disasters; both natural and by human error) and
changes in our physical lives (income issues, relationship
difficulties: spouses, mates, children, co-workers, friends;
and financial stress) we can be drawn in to a vacuum of
chaos that can temporarily cloud our "vision".
When we are
faced with so many challenges at once it can be over
whelming. I for one have often taken these challenges
personally as if I was doing something wrong or what could
have I done better to prevent it. Challenges are begin
presented to us as lessons, a chance to grow. Of course many
times I would groan and whisper to God, "haven't I grown
enough yet?"! Often times though we couldn't prevent the
challenge from coming our way. Though we may be affected by
it, it could also be someone else's lesson that is brought
forward.
While in the
mist of a challenge the power to go through it is still
ours. I am not saying take a Polly Anna approach and pretend
all is perfect. It is fine to acknowledge this situation
bites, yet instead of wallowing in it, in prayer ask God how
you can move forward and out of it quickly. For me, I focus
on what I wish to happen.
In this
moment things may not be where you wish them to be. I know
in my life there are some areas that I want to be different.
For instance my youngest son and I are currently estranged.
In some ways this breaks my heart, for it is not how I wish
my relationship with him to be. Yet these are his choices
and his actions have led to my actions to protect myself.
There is nothing I can do about it, to change him. Yet I do
have power within me. I pray daily for his safety, forgive
his actions, and bless him with success. I know you have
heard stories of parents praying for their children that are
on drugs etc. Yes, it may take time but all those prayers do
help and broken fences are mended. I tell you this so that
you too can have hope and know that even if things are not
going too good in the moment that doesn't mean it has to be
that way forever.
Sometimes it
takes chaos to shift energy. Right now my house is a mess as
it is being painted inside and at the same time Bruce's
house is disrupted because we are getting it ready to sell.
With "everything" around me in dishevel I found myself
bouncing around not being grounded at times. Normally this
would affect me on all levels yet I have chosen to look at
it a different way. As I walk through my house instead of
allowing the energy of disruption to unbalance me, I bless
each room and envision it completed and the energy flowing
peacefully throughout. I remind myself that this isn't
forever. This really works too! Now instead of seeing
partially painted walls, piles of stuff every where, and no
wall plates on the light switches I see the gentle flowing
energy of tranquility beginning to flow through. I see a
completed harmonized home and I am already experiencing that
harmony. With my son I envision a loving mutual relationship
where we enjoy each other's company.
Another tip
is to ask for help. Whether it is physical help from another
to get a job done, or emotional support it is fine to ask
another to come to our aid. I have found for me trading to
be an excellent resource in accomplishing all the tasks that
need to be done in the next week or so.
Though it is
good to ask others for help, to get you through a situation
whether it is a job or emotional issues, it is also
important to take responsibility for this issue and not
expect someone else to "make it all better". We must be
responsible for our lives and allow others to be responsible
for theirs. Often their choices affect our lives and we then
have to make a tough decision to continue allowing another's
irresponsible behavior to drain our joy. What steps are you
taking right now to change your circumstances? Are you
relying on another to "save" your from yourself? Or are you
taking responsibility for your life and making better
choices?
Now back to
getting clarity in our life through vision. The following
excerpts are from an eagle vision experience I had on one of
my Sedona visits. The full story can be read here:
http://www.transforminghope.com/inspiration/whiteeagle.htm
"The word he gave me was Vision as he pointed to the eagle.
Then he took me to the edge of the Universe and told me that
I was to be a visionary. My focus at times is narrow, and he
showed me with light how to broaden my vision to what could
be instead of what is right in front of me - to look beyond
the obvious at all angles to what could be. I then
remembered the labyrinth card that I had drawn that morning
it was on Vision also. We returned to the cave and I was
instructed to ask his name, his full name. He told me
several times yet I couldn't understand. He seemed a bit
frustrated at first then just smiled and said to call him
White Eagle. He pointed to the eagle beside me and now it
was all white and glowing. Then the eagle rose up and went
in front of my heart chakra, his eyes facing out. His wings
started glowing brilliant white and he settled in my heart
chakra and just glowed white. I really felt his spirit in me
and was not afraid. I could see out his eyes, everything was
sharp and crisp. We were instructed it was time to go back
into the tunnel and return back to the plateau."
"The eagle
represents a state of grace that is reached through inner
work, understanding and passing the initiation tests that
result from reclaiming our personal power. Eagle Medicine is
the Power of the Great Spirit. It is the spirit of tenacity.
It is the gift of clear vision with which one can truly see
the things one sees. It is the patience to wait for the
appropriate moment. It is to live in balance with heaven and
earth. Eagle reminds us of our connection with the Great
Spirit. It tells us that the universe is giving us the
opportunity to fly above our life's worldly levels, or above
the shadow of past realities. Eagle teaches us to look above
in order to touch Grandfather Sun with our heart, to love
the Shadow as much as the Light. Eagle asks us to grant
ourselves permission to be free in order to reach the joy
that our heart desires."
And so dear
friends I wish to leave you with this: If you find yourself
loosing your Vision in this stage of your journey, know that
THE ANSWER IS ALWAYS WITHIN YOU ~ USE YOUR GIFT OF VISION TO
FIND CLARITY IN YOUR LIFE. You can and will move through the
chaos into peace and joy.
May you have
the strength of eagles' wings, the faith and courage to fly
to new heights, and the wisdom of the Universe to carry you
there. Much love to you all, Vickie
