"I
Believe God has to be Known by Looking in the Mirror."
Deepak Chopra, -How to Know God
What a startling statement! Look in the
mirror to see God? Almost scary. However, with the conditioning of our
minds we have had since childhood until the not so distant past, we
certainly would call this blasphemy! Yet, we ignore all the passages in
our Scriptures, both in the Old Testament and in the New. Over and over
we have read and been told that
"We are made in the image and likeness of
God." So, we must ask ourselves if we believe this is true, and if we do
believe it how can we not say: "Yes, God is in me as He (It) is in
everyone - every animal, every tree and blade of grass, for "all is
God.."
Our physicist have been telling us now
for many years that everything, yes everything, is made of Energy. Think
about it, and then you can begin to understand that you and 1 are each a
"cell or packet of Energy in the body of God." For the Universe is God -
all of the Universe is Energy. So, can you and 1 look into the mirror
and realize we are made of "God stuff," and that we are indeed a part of
this magnificent creation of God. He created the Universe, and He
created you and me. And as we learn to accept our Self as a Holy Being,
we can gratefully look into our mirror and see the Holy Spirit in us and
acknowledge our Oneness with God and all of God's creation.
Then how differently we begin to perceive
not only ourselves, but how we perceive each other, and begin to
understand how others are mirrors for us also. And that brings to mind
that we project to others what we really believe about ourselves. If we
can see others through sacred eyes and with a heart overflowing with
love, we are also seeing ourselves
with God's love for us. However, if we
criticize or see others faults, we need to remember that we really have
some of those faults in ourselves. And this is quite a challenge.
However, it can be an excellent way to see and know what needs to be
changed in ourselves.
So, "All things work together for good
for those that love God." And it is a truism that we learn ITom our
mistakes and that is an integral part of our journey, for we all make
mistakes.
So, with a bit of courage, let us look
into our mirror each day and know that we are gods in the making, and
that we are becoming, through His grace, more and more of His goodness
as we live and learn and grow into our Godhood..

"I am a divinely inspired resource of creativity in the world."
Daily
Word
When I become quiet and relaxed, and
invite the Presence of God into my being, I become an "inspired
resource of creativity." Ideas form and take shape as words, pictures,
ideas, or feelings. Feelings of love and of loving kindness for family,
dear friends, and for all of mankind, and I am filled with thanksgiving
for life and love, and for being. And I know these feelings, and this
holy energy with which I am filled, is flowing out from the center of my
being as a blessing to others and I feel blessed beyond belief, and my
heart leaps with joy.
When we spend time in the silence, in
meditation and prayer, our hearts become full with God's loving
kindness, and we send forth this blessed energy. God's loving, healing
energy, flows not only to friends and loved ones, but to the entire
universe, which is our home, and all the inhabitants are our brothers
and sisters. And, as we bless others we are doubly blest. As the
Scriptures say: "Our hearts our glad and our soul rests in peace." For
then we truly are filled with light and love for the entire Universe.
And what we send forth comes back to us two fold, and our hearts sing
with joy. Yes, with joy unbounded. And then we are inspired to go to a
higher level of Oneness of consciousness with the Christ Spirit that
truly informs us all, everyday, and every moment, when we become aware
of this precious gift of the Holy Spirit.
Yes, we each are a "divinely inspired
resource of creativity," ordained by God to be his hands, his feet, and
his voice in the world. What we say, and what we do not only impacts our
own life, but the life of every individual in the world. For what we
think, say and do today "ripples across the Universe into a thousand
tomorrows," and returns to us in like kind. If we send our wisdom, love
and truth, it will return to bless us. And, as Einstein said: "If we
believe everything is a miracle, or nothing is, it will be so."
So may we let the Christ Light shine ever
brighter in our souls today, and into a thousand tomorrows.

LIVE LIFE TO
THE FULLEST
"Dive deeply into the miracle of life and
let the tips of your wings be burnt by the flame, let your feet be
lacerated by the thorns, let your heart be stirred by human emotions,
and let your soul be lifted beyond the earth."
~Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan
Live every moment of every day to the
fullest. This life is a miracle. We each are a miracle and we author
our own life. We have been given free will to make of our life what we
will. So dive deeply, drink fully of the water of life. Become
immersed in Spirit - God's Holy Spirit - that is the essence of who we
are - for we are made in the image of God, so we are gods in the
making. We each contain the spark of God is us and it is up to us to
fan that light into a living flame that consumes our being with its
passion of becoming all we can be.
Let the fire in us burn away the negative
thinking of "I can't, or I'm not capable," and change our thinking to
"Yes, I can ~ I can become a holy being, full of light and wisdom."
Full of loving kindness, capable of fulfilling my mission on this
beautiful earth. For with God's help I can change myself into a sacred
holy fire of wholeness. Yes, there will be times when I falter and
fail, but with God's help, I will learn from my mistakes and go forward
with renewed courage.
Life is a challenge, and each challenge
we over come makes us wiser and stronger. And the path goes ever upward
into the realms of light, and of peace and joy. With God as our mascot
it can be all we can dream it to be, and more. With diligence we can
make of it a journey into Light, Love, and everlasting Joy. The choice
is ours – every minute of every day. Choose wisely, because what you
think, say and do, is who you become. So become all you can be.

GIVE THE
BEST THAT YOU HAVE
As we grow and learn and become mature,
we hopefully grow beyond our childish ways, putting ourselves first, or
perhaps last; often feeling inadequate. We often make mistakes for
which we blame ourselves, but later find we learn from them. When we
don't do our best we often feel we are inadequate, and somehow not good
enough. But life is a school, and we lean that, yes, we do make
mistakes and often we don't do our or give our best. But along the way
to, hopefully, maturity, we begin to know ourselves as becoming more
adequate, less fearful in certain situations and gradually we start to
"bloom where we are planted."
Then everything begins to change. We
become more confident, more at ease with who we are. Gradually we begin
to understand that we belong; yes, we belong to this earth plane that
formerly felt so foreign to many of us. And we even feel we not only
belong here, but that we are a part of the entire Universe, and that we
came from the stars. Yes, we have truly come from the God-force. We not
only belong, we are part and parcel of the evolution of this planet, and
we are at the leading edge of this evolutionary process, because we have
and are Consciousness, which is the God-force in us, around us, and
everywhere present throughout the Universe. Consciousness is the
God-force, the " Energy that spins the Universe." Therefore, we can and
must give back, or add to this evolutionary journey of the Cosmos.
So what can we give? We can give the
very best that we have in every situation: To our enemies we can give
forgiveness, for they do not understand. We can give tolerance to an
opponent by trying to understand where they are coming from, and we can
be non-judgmental. We can give our love to our family and to our
friends; we can be examples
for our children; respect to our father.
We can give our best conduct to our Mothers to make them proud of us.
And most of all we can give respect to ourselves, and charity to all men
and women.
Yes, we can grow into wondrous beings of
light and love, and we can give the very best that we have, and it will
be an honor and a privilege. Yes, we will give our very best because we
have become, with God's help, the best we know how. And we will
continue to grow and to learn and to give more and more, because we
represent the God-force at the leading edge of this wondrous journey
into the Light of knowing - more and more.
How privileged we are, and how grateful
that we have been led to this Journey of our soul to spiritual heights
we did not know even existed, for they must be experienced to know. And
when you have experienced the Presence of God in your life, no one can
take it away from you, and you can only know what you have truly
experienced. How grateful we are and how privileged to "know that we
know," and to realize and understand that there is so much more that we
can only hope to reach even greater heights while we are still on this
earth plane. We are truly blessed, in the true sense of the word.

I MYSELF AM
HEAVEN AND HELL
"I sent my soul into the afterlife, some
glimpse of the truth to tell, and my soul returned to me and said, I
myself am heaven and hell" The Rubatyat of Omar Khayyam
What a startling statement. And Omar
Khayyam lived a long time ago. So why has this truth evaded me for so
long? Or is it synchronicity that it would appear at this time in my
life when I have just discovered this truth for myself after reading
Deepak Chopra's Book: "Life After Death," which confirmed what I had
become to believe myself.
I know I had read this verse in the "Rubatyat"
many, many years ago. But I believe we can read or hear great truths
and they are not heard or seen and are meaningless to us until we
mature, or "wake-up" and are ready to understand them.
I have felt the Presence of the Energy,
the God-force around me. The Presence of Angels that protect and guide
me. I know and feel an unseen world of beings that bless and guide my
life. So why is it that I suddenly have become aware of this great and
startling truth. I think it must be because I was or am ready to hear
it.
Yes, I believe heaven and hell are right
here, right now. Not some place we are going after we die, and that I
believe it is true that we don't have to wait until we die to experience
either one. It is right here all around us, we need only be aware of
what we are thinking. Or just turn on the evening news, or the morning
or afternoon news, yes 24 hours a day on the News Channels. Pick up the
Newspaper or a News Magazine. We are inundated with horror stories,
wars that kill and maim, and destroy our young men and women with Post
Traumatic Syndrome, and many will tell you that "war is hell." How
could it be otherwise when it means you are killing your "enemy." So we
can live in hell right here, right now.
Victor Frankel, who wrote "Man's Search
for Meaning," survived the death camps by not only controlling his own
thoughts, but taught others in the death camp to also survive by
teaching them how to control their thoughts.
Until we realize we have a choice of what
we think, say and do, we cannot change anything and we can live in hell
much of the time spent here on this earth. But until we awaken (Buddha
means the awakened one, or "He who is awake") we can spend our whole
life living in hell, or at least a good part of it. Or we can choose to
live in Heaven - to be happy, to feel good about who we are, and to
smile because it has been said: "You can't hold a negative thought when
you smile."
So, as Omar Khayyam said after he sent
his soul into the afterlife, "You yourself are Heaven and Hell." It is
a choice. A choice we have every minute of every day.
What a challenge.

"TO BE BORN IS TO BE CHOSEN”
John O’Donohue
What a
privilege to be living at this time when we have the freedom to seek and
to know who we are. I didn’t grow up knowing all the wonderful truths I
have learned in this life time, because this information and this
knowledge was not available at that time to the masses. We had mostly
the “Faith of our Fathers;” and that’s what most people believed. But I
have had the privilege of living long enough to learning these truths.
So to know and understand that we each have been chosen, and that we
have a mission and a purpose for our lives, leaves me in awe of the love
and grace I feel and know: that I am a chosen child of God, and that my
life has meaning and purpose, as does everyone, if they are aware.
Just
to know this wonderful truth fills me with so much gratefulness, and
fills my body with so much light energy that I know beyond a doubt that
the Presence of God is in me and that it radiates from my being, and
adds to the spiritual energy that helps lift the collective
consciousness of our world.
What a
precious mission we each have been given: to bring the light of
consciousness (God’s Holy Spirit) into the awareness of our Universe. We
have read and been told, and we know, we are the Light of the World, and
we have been commissioned to let our light shine so that others may see
and know God’s light is in each of us.
What a
sacred journey this is, and what a privilege it is to know and to carry
this Light in us and to be an instrument for God’s peace to flow through
us to others.
As
Saint Frances says in his immortal poem: “Yes, let us be instruments of
Thy peace,” and that our mission in this world is to be a vessel so
others will know beyond a doubt that they too are special; for the
wondrous miracle that each of us are here is so beyond belief. From the
billions of sperm created in our father, and that a particular one
impregnated a single egg in our mother, and after nine months in our
mother’s womb, we appeared fully formed on this earth. So what are the
chances that you and I would be here, this day and this moment, and we
each came from one egg and one sperm? It never ceases to amaze me.
Yes,
we truly are chosen, and that we have been led step by step to know and
to experience the Presence of God’s light and love in us, is a miracle.
Yet, yes, we are here now, because we were chosen. How blessed are we.

YES WE DO HAVE WINGS
Yes,
we each one come from God. We are pressed out pieces of God. We come
from the stars - we are star light. So where and when did the story we
were taught get off track? When did we learn we were “conceived and born
in sin”? When we are so rich in potential, in goodness and truth? When
and where did our dreams get crushed? Yes, we were each born with
greatness; and yes, we do have wings. So we have to learn all over again
who we are, where we came from and what our potential is. We need to
learn to spread our wings and fly, for we came from God and to God we
will return.
But we
don’t need to wait until we die to return. We can be in touch with this
God Energy in us every minute of every day and night, for all we have to
do is “ask and it is given.” We only need to turn our thoughts to God
and we feel His Presence in us and through us. We live in an ocean of
God Energy every minute of every day.
The
scriptures say that God is Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent.
Heaven is here now, not somewhere we will eventually go. We only need to
claim our inheritance, to affirm it and to live it. Every moment we
choose what we think and feel, and what we think and feel, we become.
So we
need to dream bigger dreams; to trust more; to recognize our greatness
and affirm our potential. Yes, we need to spread our wings and fly and
to soar to greater heights, for that is our destiny. It is our
potential. For we each are angels unfolding our love and kindness
everywhere we go. We are soaring into the Light of Beingness, and our
thoughts and actions speak of trust and gentleness and of unconditional
love, which all come from the Presence of God in us, around us, and
through us. How can it be otherwise, when we have been made in the image
and likeness of God.
So we
need to spread our wings and soar wherever we are, and to remember who
we are and from where we have come, and that we have an unlimited
potential to spread goodness and loving-kindness, for there is no
greater gift to give than to give the love of God.

LISTENING TO SPIRIT
My heart soars when I listen within
to the Spirit who sings It’s song in my heart. Spirit speaks whenever I
ask, and answers with Its wondrous wisdom. Spirit never fails because It
is my guide, my energy, it is what informs me and guides my feet and my
mind in paths of right thinking. It renews my energy whenever I turn my
mind to its generous guidance, and I feel Its Energy radiating from the
center of my being where Spirit abides in me, making me whole and holy,
and helping me stay in touch with the awesome power that is the God
force within.
As I lay down to sleep in my bed, I
immediately turn my mind to listen to the Spirit within me as the words
of a Sufi prayer, given to me long ago, lull me to sleep:
* “May the Presence of God rest
upon you.
May His peace abide with you.
May his love Illuminate your soul,
Now and forever more.”
As these words echo in my mind and
heart, I go to sleep in the arms of Spirit, and I awake refreshed to
start a new day, keeping Spirit always uppermost in my mind. And often
during the day I repeat these words again and again to keep my mind
“stayed on Him.” For me this is to “pray without ceasing,” which is my
desire.
My gratitude for living pours from
my being as I go through my day and listen to this Spirit within - never
very far removed from my daily activities. It reminds me of my “ground
of Being,” my source, my All. It is God’s Spirit in me, for which I give
thanks.

IT TAKES COURAGE
It takes courage to be all I can
be; to look inside, to face who I really am.
To grow, to become, to author my life, to speak my truth, the truth I
know is true for me.
It takes courage to go against the grain, against society's "shoulds and
oughts.”
To be true to my inner self, my convictions, and to take time to know
who I really am.
It takes courage to be real, to be honest with myself, to say what I
need to say in a kind accepting way.
It takes courage to be vulnerable, open, trusting, to be authentic,
real; to be creative, i.e., to be filled with God, and to know what I
know is true for me.
It takes courage to stay centered, to be aware of Spirit all of the
time, not just occasionally, and to proclaim: I Am, for I Am Spirit, a
pressed out piece of God, a cell in the global brain, to be forever
becoming more and more of who I really am.

CELEBRATE
Celebrate! Celebrate your life!
Celebrate who you are: gifted, wise, full of wonder, kind, loving and
compassionate. For it is time to drop all negative thinking about
yourself-the mistakes, (which were learning experiences,) the traumas,
(which made you strong.) You have learned your lessons well and have
entered a new realm in which you live and move and have your being. For
this is the best time of your life on this earth. You have earned your
wings and now you can soar into higher realms of knowingness and
beingness. Now you can radiate love wherever you go. You truly can bless
all things and all peoples everywhere. Your loving energy does make a
difference because it is focused and strong. It is the Cosmic Energy of
loving kindness. You have come into the Promised Land.
Celebrate each day of your life. Celebrate the earth and all its fruits
so lavishly given to all; what beauteous bounty upon which to feast
daily. Be grateful for all its gifts. Celebrate Nature: the blue shining
sky above you, embracing you; the sun's healing, nourishing rays of
radiant light. Celebrate the wind and the rain, the beauty all around
you, created for you to enjoy. Celebrate the starry night sky which is
your home, for you came from the stars and to them you will return.
Celebrate family and friends to love and to be loved by and all the
gifts you have to give each other. Celebrate opportunities to learn, to
know, to serve, and from which to grow. Celebrate music that inspires
and lifts you to higher realms of creative knowingness and feelings of
harmony and joy, expressing life in new and energetic forms, and which
lift one to soar into magical heights of beauty newly revealed.
Celebrate your journey as you look back and "see" the territory you have
traversed, acknowledging the terra firma in all its myriad diversity:
the rugged heights and the deep green valleys, the rough waters you have
crossed and the placid lakes from which you have received sustenance.
You are each a marvel, imbued with perception and insight, and the
ability to reflect, to bring you great wisdom and a loving heart.
Celebrate who you are: a child of the Most High, for you too are a
creator, a co-creator with Me. You have helped fashion yourself in My
image. You each are a god-like being, a god or goddess imbued with all
the attributes of the Divine. Celebrate every day of your life for you
are loved, you are loving, you are love, now and forever.
Mother Harriett
ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE
You my
dear ones, are surrounded by peace, for yours now is a peaceful world.
Your world is peopled by a heavenly host of angels and arch-angels. You
truly make your world by the thoughts you think and the energy emitted
by your feelings of love. This energy then creates your environment in
which you live and move and have your being.
This
is why I have said to you: The Kingdom of God is within you.” It is not
someplace “out there” where you will magically be transported “someday”
in the future. It is here with you now, and ever accessible.
“Be ye
transformed by the renewing of your minds,” means clearly to change your
thoughts, and by doing so you change your life, and you change the world
in which you live. Others may live in a world very different from yours.
It may be one of violence, chaos, or fear. We choose our thoughts,
knowingly or unknowingly, but we do choose, and by our choices we create
the world in which we live. This is free will.
How
wonderful it is when one learns this lesson and begins to transform ones
life. Then it becomes one exciting adventure filled with wonder and awe.
You now begin to become aware of the tremendous power you have at your
disposal, and when it is used lovingly it truly transforms all it
touches into gold. It is correctly called the “midas touch,” but it does
not congeal the substances as Midas did, but transforms them into a
flowing, radiant, creating, ever recreating substance to be fashioned
into a new species of beingness of a higher order.
You
were formed in the heavens and you came from the stars “trailing clouds
of glory;” and to the heavens you will return, fully clothed in wisdom
and wearing jeweled crowns of glory on your heads.
You
are heralds of a New Age where all who wish will dwell in this rarified
environment of a new heaven and a new earth.
Remember, the magic is to truly know: all things are possible, for
thinking makes it so. Whatever you believe, you can conceive. You are
co-creators with Me to bring the impossible into being, and the greatest
gift is transforming yourself into the incredible being of love you are
created to be. I Am here within you to help you bring forth the Divinity
you truly are. You are loved forever and forever. Amen

WE HAVE ONLY THIS MOMENT
"We
have only this moment, sparkling like a star and melting like a
snowflake; let's use it before it is too late." Lera Ray
When I
read this quote and thought about the million, or trillions of moments I
have wasted being annoyed, or angry, or dissatisfied, or - on and on, it
makes me shudder. But then I stop and think of how far I have come and
of the million or trillion's of moments I have been full of joy, of
loving kindness, of satisfaction and gratefulness. So, is my glass half
empty or half full. Well, I choose to think of it as being half full,
and I am grateful for the road I have traveled with God's grace, to have
come this far.
So
this moment "sparkling like a star and melting like a snow flake"
obliterate all other moments, past and present. For anytime I feel God's
Presence in me and around me, I am filled to over flowing with this joy
and peace that fills my being. And, if it took millions and trillions of
moments when I didn't know, and didn't feel this Presence, for me to
reach this "peace that passes understanding," then I am grateful for all
the negative moments that have taught me to become who I am now.
When
we know all we have to do is reach a higher level of consciousness, and
the pairs of opposites: night and day, good and bad, black or white
disappear and we are at one with Spirit, and every wrong passes away,
every negative thought disappears, and only Oneness prevails.
How
simple it seems, yet much of our day we have to deal with the mundane,
but it does get easier and easier to keep, not one foot on earth, and
the other in heaven, but to keep both feet firmly planted in a higher
realm where only peace abides.
What a
challenge. But what a treasure and what a blessing it is when we know
that with a simple reminder, like a "snow flake melting in the palm of
our hand," we can immediately shift our thoughts and once again be
anchored in that Spiritual realm where there is peace, light, joy, and
an abundance of blessings.
What a
beautiful metaphor. I think I shall past snowflakes everywhere to remind
me to "remember to remember." Is that why I picked up a small sheet of
snowflakes sometime ago? I think it was to put them in a Birthday card
to my great grand daughter, but it was to large to fit into the
envelope. Another small blessing.
