Inspiration to Uplift the Spirit

On The Wings of a White Eagle
by Rev Vickie Hahn, October 18th, 2007

During my latest trip to Sedona, I experienced the most profound vision. One that I am still processing. A friend and I met with our guide, Wanda and drove to the Bell Rock vortex arriving approximately at 5:30 pm. We walked to a little plateau on the outskirts of Bell Rock and she instructed us that we were to meet our power animal. Once again I will digress here to say that I have had visions twice from the Native American spirits, the first was my first trip to Sedona. I have always admired and honored them, and even though was told I was Shaman in a past life, didn't know what to do with it nor have really studied the native ways. My focus was on angels and ascended masters yet I have always felt drawn to Native American culture.

And so we walked to this plateau at the bottom of Bell Rock, and were instructed to sit and get comfortable. She told us we were to meet our power animal and guide. My thoughts were empty as I had never done this before. Sometimes I have a hard time visioning even when I am being guided through a meditation. I released the outcome and just told God that I am open. There was a small tree a head of me, with only two bare branches that looked like a sling shot. The sun to my left had already begun to set and the lighting was dim. I chose a place to sit, using the V of that sling shot tree as a portal into Mermaid Mountain which quietly stretched out majestically ahead of us.

Wanda began to drum slowly taking us down into a hypnotic state. We were to sink into the mountain. Instantly I saw a picture of an eagle.  We sunk deeper into the mountain and down a tunnel. An Indian guide came to me smiling - he had one buck tooth and such an angelic look of innocence on his face. I asked if he was my guide and still smiling shook his head no. He was there for safe passage through the tunnel. I arrive inside of a cave and saw a camp fire burning vibrantly creating dancing shadows of orange and yellow on the walls. I felt the intensity of the fire, its warmth and could hear the crackle of its flames.

When it was time to call our power animal I looked to my left and it was indeed an eagle. His head was white and he had brownish black feathers. His eyes were golden, sparkling and very sharp. I was instructed to leave my body and go into my power animal. Of course always the cautious one I first asked for God's guidance and to be under the protection of God's warriors. I went into the eagle and felt such power surging through me that I had to keep breathing deeply to keep the energy flowing and not overwhelm me. I began to shake all over with its intensity! Then we were told to return to our body and ask for our guide to be known. When my guide came in he first came in as Native American in full headdress. Then he changed to jeans and a plain shirt. I asked why he first appeared to me that way and he said so I would know him as Native American. He was a pleasant cheerful quirky man with a quick sense of humor. His hair was dark and about shoulder length. I do not know the color of his eyes just that they seem to sparkle, and around his eyes would crinkle when he chuckled. His face was slightly full and round appearing to be my age in his forties, and he seemed to be medium built, more on the muscular lean side then thin.

The word he gave me was Vision as he pointed to the eagle. Then he took me to the edge of the universe and told me that I was to be a visionary. My focus at times is narrow, and showed me with light how to broaden my vision to what could be instead of what is right in front of me - to look beyond the obvious at all angles to what could be. I then remembered the labyrinth card that I had drawn that morning it was on Vision also. We returned to the cave and I was instructed to ask his name, his full name. He told me several times yet I couldn't understand. He seemed a bit frustrated at first then just smiled and said to call him White Eagle. He pointed to the eagle beside me and now it was all white and glowing. Then the eagle rose up and went in front of my heart chakra, his eyes facing out. His wings started glowing brilliant white and he settled in my heart chakra and just glowed white. I really felt his spirit in me and was not afraid. I could see out his eyes, everything was sharp and crisp. We were instructed it was time to go back into the tunnel and return back to the plateau.

The next day we left Sedona and to say the least things have been different. I had a low sugar attack that left me weak, energy has been once again surging through my body at high rates affecting my ability to walk steady as my right hand and leg kept shaking. I am now feeling much better and seem to be integrating this much better. My right hand of course is still shaking - par for the course as it has always done this since my very first Sedona trip. I am very sensitive to energy around me and can predict the different global shifts. Later I started researching White Eagle - and to my amazement found the White Eagle lodge site. I felt a connection to White Eagle that is more that just a one time vision. I felt this was quite significant and I was moved to a sense of awe and tears the entire day.

I called my friend Diane in Maryland and told her my vision. She shivered and channeled that yes White Eagle is now with me and is guiding me on this next leg of the journey. And now a little about White Eagle:

“White Eagle, who spoke through the medium ship of Grace Cooke, describes himself as a spokesperson for a wiser Brotherhood in spirit, who helps humanity to understand their true spiritual nature, and to grow in wise love for all life. Always encouraging, loving and strong, he is a friend to thousands of people all over the world and a spiritual guide in a path of gentle unfoldment. Thus he has taught us a safe method of meditation, how to pray with acceptance, how to serve others through healing and through the radiation of the Christ light, and how to lead a life where love—the motivating force of the cosmos—is the key-note. Through White Eagle’s teaching we learn that love works, because it is the power and wisdom behind all, and how to bring that love to bear in all our ordinary, daily encounters.”

“This gentle guide is a Master of the White Brotherhood or Brotherhood of Light, a group of spirit beings dedicated to serving mankind's spiritual awakening. White Eagle works as a speaker of wisdom and light. He brings messages of empowerment, hope and inspiration. The words of White Eagle are filled with the love of the Masters and have aided many in their pursuits of greater understanding and balance in their lives.”

It is important to mention at this time that like Arch Angel Michael, White Eagle channels to many and is not exclusive to just one medium.

“The eagle represents a state of grace that is reached through inner work, understanding and passing the initiation tests that result from reclaiming our personal power. Eagle Medicine is the Power of the Great Spirit. It is the spirit of tenacity. It is the gift of clear vision with which one can truly see the things one sees. It is the patience to wait for the appropriate moment. It is to live in balance with heaven and earth. Eagle reminds us of our connection with the Great Spirit. It tells us that the universe is giving us the opportunity to fly above our life's worldly levels, or above the shadow of past realities. Eagle teaches us to look above in order to touch Grandfather Sun with our heart, to love the Shadow as much as the Light. Eagle asks us to grant ourselves permission to be free in order to reach the joy that our heart desires.”

I find it ironic that I found the above description of the eagle as I myself have done much inner work and have reclaimed my own personal power in addition to learning to love my shadow as I love my light. And yes, I feel that I have been through many initiation tests over the years, some that seemed to kick my but at the time. Yet let me ask you this, how awesome of a confirmation could there be?

And so dear friends it is time to close this letter and I will leave you with one last thought:

May you have the strength Of eagles' wings, The faith and courage to Fly to new heights, And the wisdom Of the universe To carry you there.

Wakan Tanka nici un (May the Great Spirit walk always by your side) Sioux

Blessings to all, Vickie
